Experience information

Below are very brief outlines of our experiences; but rest assured we have very detailed itineraries and plans in place. But. As we are aiming to give a travel experience you will have to trust us. Our experiences always have local people in mind first and foremost. We are travelling as equals. Not to take but to share. Whether that be rice harvesting, visiting a local school to help them with water capture or short treks to cultural sites. Rest assured 2% of the value of your experience will go directly to fund a project or initiative of the indigenous populations choice - not ours. So. Not only due to the offset through the World Land Trust are you carbon neutral your travels will have what we believe to be a net positive on the places we travel to. We travel lightly.

BHUTAN - a cultural tour with the aim of educating us in their ways. We learn how they manage to keep happy and sustainable. Rice harvesting in a local village. 12 places max.

BORNEO - our aim here is conservation in the most direct way possible. 12 places max.

NEPAL - cultural and landscape conservation. 12 places max.

ROMANIA - landscape, culture and trek in true wilderness, which truly needs preserving for future generations 12 places max.

Fitness requirements:

There is a good level of fitness required for this trek. It is not at altitude and we are not aiming to break any records. But to enjoy it will require a bit of trekking practice (boots on, rucksack on - hill walking) prior to joining the team. Just to put this into perspective on my last journey there I met a 68 year old Swiss Lady with her family trekking in this region.
